It was about 10:00 PM when we finally got into the terminal. It was a long walk to baggage claim and customs and immigration; we got through it all (with no hassle, just some long, slow moving lines) by about 10:30.

We were met at the terminal waiting area by a representative of the driver Meihui arranged for us. He was carrying a big sign with Mei-O's name on it, making it easy for us to find him.

Then it was out to the curb to join the chaos and await the driver to bring his black BMW around. We hopped in the car and off we went, on to Taichung (0:21).

We arrived at the Zhong Ke Hotel (中科大飯店) around midnight where Meihui was waiting, and where Room 802, which overlooks the Taichung Folklore Park (臺中民俗公園), would be our home for the next nine days.

Meihui came up to our room with us to get the gifts Mei-O brought her, six bottles of Glucosamine Chondroitin, a couple of nice purses, and a few other things. It was late, so she quickly left allowing us two tired travelers to finally get some sleep.
